A changeover switch lets you move a load safely from one supply to another — typically from WAPDA mains to a generator — with an OFF position in between so the two sources are never connected together. In Pakistan, where generator backup is everyday practice, a proper changeover switch protects both the equipment and the people working on it.
KATKO's TKM changeover switches come ready-enclosed in polycarbonate with I-0-II switching, in 1 to 4-pole versions from 16 A to 40 A. They suit single machines, pumps, offices and small plant areas. For larger loads, automatic transfer switches or motorised changeovers are the usual next step.
