Inductive proximity sensors detect metal without contact, and the SICK IME is one of the most widely fitted ranges on machines in Pakistan. The housing size sets the sensing range: an M8 senses 2–4 mm, an M12 4–8 mm, an M18 8–12 mm and an M30 10–20 mm. Flush ("B") sensors can be mounted level with the steel around them; non-flush ("N") types sense further but need free space around the face.
The type code tells you the rest. In IME18-08BPSZC0S, 18 is the thread, 08 the sensing range in mm, B flush, P PNP, S normally open, and C0 an M12 connector; a "K" ending marks the short-body housing. The 7-digit number is the SICK order number printed on the label.
We supply IME sensors for new machines and as direct replacements. If the label is worn, send us the thread size, sensing distance, output type and connection, and we match it.
