Solar installations need protection designed for direct current. DC arcs do not extinguish themselves like AC arcs, so AC breakers and fuse holders are not safe on the PV side. TOMZN's PV range covers the DC protection of a typical commercial or residential solar system.
The TOB1Z-63 is a DC miniature circuit breaker rated up to 500 V DC and 63 A. TOPV-30 and TOPV-32 fuse holders take 10×38 mm gPV string fuses at up to 1000/1100 V DC. The TOM7Z DC MCCB covers larger currents up to 125 A, and ready-made combiner boxes integrate breakers, fuses and surge protection in a weatherproof enclosure.
PV protection must match the string voltage and current. Send us the panel and inverter data and we specify the breakers, fuses and surge protection — or design and install the complete solar system.
