Large-character printers mark shipping cartons, sacks, pipes, bricks, stone and boards with text, logos and codes big enough to read across a warehouse. DOCOD's drop-on-demand (DOD) printers use a solenoid valve print head with rugged gemstone nozzles, so they cope with dusty, humid and vibrating production lines and need very little maintenance.
The D-series printers (D100, D130, D230) have a stainless-steel cabinet with a 7-inch touch screen and print 7, 16 or 32 dots high — from about 5 mm up to 128 mm — with 1 to 4 lines. The D230 runs two print heads for printing both sides of a carton or two lanes at once. The DF series (DF100, DF130) is a split design with a separate controller and ink supply for flexible mounting on the line.
Ink options include water-based, alcohol-based, ketone-based and pigment inks in several colours. We supply and install large-character printers and help you choose the ink for your surface.
